Ben was enjoying his lunch.

Pandas live with their mothers until they're two years
old. Then, they leave home and find a space of their
own. Our pandas are called Ben and Suki. They’re five
years old. For pandas, that means they’re grown-ups.
There’s Suki. Look. She’s eaten her
lunch already. I think she’s going
to have a nap. Any questions?
Where’s Ben?
In fact, pandas are omnivores. Does
anyone know what that means?
Hang on! Where are
my sandwiches?

It could be some fruit. Pandas
eat a lot of bamboo, but they
like other things, too.
Miss Jones, what’s Ben eating?
Well, as I said, pandas eat
lots of things. They like
sugar cane, or fruit, or …
Or jam sandwiches!
That must be my
packed lunch!
Oh Billy, your face was hilarious!
It’s not funny at all! Ben has
eaten everything! I’m starving!
Come on, Billy! We’ll share
our lunch with you. Everyone
can give you something.
It’s lucky that I’m
an omnivore, too!

be nearly
lunchtime.
