2 Dizzy  Socks and boots! My pink socks and my blue boots!

Spot  Socks! Boots! Lovely!

3 Dizzy  One sweater, two sweaters. My red sweater and my yellow sweater.

Spot  Sweater! Sweaters! Lovely!

4 Dizzy  One jacket, two jackets. My purple jacket and my green jacket.

Spot  Jacket! Jackets! Lovely!

5 Dizzy  Now my orange hat and mittens.

Spot  Hat! Mittens! Lovely!

6 Dizzy  I’m ready now! Let’s make a snowman! Ooh! Ooh! Aaaaaah!

7 Dizzy  Oh, no! I can’t stand up.

Frankie  Don’t worry, Dizzy, I’ve got an idea. Let’s make snow angels instead!

8 Dizzy  I love making snow angels! I love winter!

Frankie & Tex  We love winter, too!

If you have time, you may wish to play the story again using the CD and storycards.

5 Table time: Tex’s words worksheet with stickers

If you have a routine clock, move the hand to ‘Table time’ and play the Table time rhyme, motioning for the children to go back to their tables.

Give out the worksheet. Point to the different parts of the face and establish that they have add the items of clothing, saying Oh dear! No clothes! Point to missing items of clothing and try and elicit from the children which are missing.

Show the children the stickers. The children then complete the worksheet using the stickers.

Once the children have finished, name the clothes and ask children to listen and point as you say them. You may wish to do this several times, varying the order and the pace at which you say the words.

After Table time, encourage the children to tidy up by singing or playing the Tidy up time song while they put away their worksheets.

6 Goodbye

If you have a routine clock, move the hand to ‘Goodbye’.

Sing the Goodbye song. Have the puppets wave goodbye as you put them away.
