When we talk about ability, we usually use
can
– which is a modal verb. There are some other
expressions we can use to talk about ability.
Each expression is used in a different structure:
be able

to do:
I’m able to ice-skate.

we can say both
I’m not able

I’m unable

do something.

be capable

of doing:
I’m capable of riding
a horse.
(Note that we can say both
