Ace! Space
Claudia says:
I’m a scout from Switzerland. In my
country, scouts are called Pfadi. I
love being a scout! We have such
a fantastic time. My favourite thing
is our scout camp. We go camping
for two weeks every summer and
we learn all kinds of things! We do
exciting things like make bridges out
of rope and we cook on a campfire
every night. Sometimes, the food is
a bit burnt, but I think it’s delicious! I
go to scouts twice a month. We often
try different sports. Next week, we’re
going walking in the mountains.
Johnnie says:
I’m from the UK. This is a photo
from my scout group. We went on a
watersports course where we learnt
canoeing and sailing. Look at me!
I’m walking across the boats! It was
my favourite activity. I almost fell into
the water, and everyone thought it
was hilarious. I go to scouts once
a week on Saturdays and I love
it because we can try all kinds of
activities. After scouts, I’m always
exhausted, but I’m always happy.
Next week, we’re going abseiling.
I can’t wait!
Lorraine says:
I’m an American girl scout. I go
to scouts every Wednesday after
school, and sometimes we go
on trips at the weekend. I love it
because we learn all about nature.
My favourite thing is learning
about birds. It’s fascinating. In the
USA, we have tiny birds, like the
hummingbird, and enormous birds,
like the bald eagle. We learn about
their habitats and how we can help
to protect them. Next week, we’re
going to an owl sanctuary where we
can hold the owls!
